Sustainability: Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Permaculture: A philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of thoughtful observation rather than thoughtless labour; of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single-product system. It advocates designing human systems based on natural ecosystems.

Maven: A trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass knowledge on to others. The word maven comes from Hebrew and means one who understands, based on an accumulation of knowledge.
