I am a 25 year old Digital Designer from Germiston, east of Johannesburg. I am also a Multimedia Design Consultant for my brand, rabatholaka.com. My most proficient areas of design are digital, print, illustration & motion graphics. I am a marketing designer and I like to incorporate visual communications with strategy. I enjoy telling visual stories to paint pictures. My mission is to master the art of communications.
As a multimedia designer, I am able to create content for digital marketing campaigns, creating and managing social media assets for brand reputation, supplying and maintaining media content for client's websites, advertising, research, online marketing strategy for SEM and SM campaigns and designing print collateral for clients.
I also do photography on commission in which I supplied images for campaign activations, online blogs and magazines.
I have one year and seven months of professional experience in various positions and I have been consulting as a designer for the past three years working with a number of brands. I use my brand rabatholaka.com, to blog about multimedia content and to provide resourceful information in the context of design and marketing. I help businesses fulfil consumers' needs by achieving the customer experience that their brands require.
My hobbies include reading, writing and photography. I also like to make photo-illustrations which are printable posters which combine my photography with my illustration skills.
My work has been featured on SA Creatives and I was selected as a creative for a Ray-ban Never Hide awareness campaign in 2012.
I have a B-Tech qualification in Multimedia Design from the University of Johannesburg in which I acquired in 2014. I wrote a research paper which explores how participatory culture is effectively developing how people are producing user-generated content as a form of citizen journalism in reporting South African police brutality on the internet.
