Summary
Peter started his career at a small ad agency called Rightford Searle-Tripp and Makin in 1980 as the tea boy. The agency, through sheer determination and dedication, became the greatest Agency in South Africa and was renamed 'Ogilvy' 4 years later. Peter's role was to drive the production side of the business which resulted in him winning over 100 local and international awards. He was appointed to the Ogilvy board of directors at the age of 24. In 1991 Peter took his skills and started Peter Gird Productions. PGPled the way in the creation of Brand building iconic work, launching many successful careers in the film industry. Peter has filmed in 15 African countries and has filmed in every continent bar Antarctica. Peter joined forces with digital genius, Jason Xenopolous in 2008to form the first digital advertising and production agency in SAentitled 2.0 Media. The duo was joined by celebrity bush cook JustinBonello, and due to Peter's brand and production experience they formed Cooked in Africa Films, creating television properties like around Iceland on Inspiration, Charly's Cake Angels, and the multi-award-winning, Ultimate Braai Master. Not only did this work reach millions of viewers locally, but to millions around the globe. However, with Peter never wanting to rest on his laurels, and with a firm understanding of the ever-changing Television and content markets, has decided to undergo a reset together with his long-time colleague Lara Black, who intends pooling their 40 years of knowledge to their new company Dream Team World. Dream Team World is a solutions-driven Branded Content Agency that is designed as a specialist support resource for Broadcasters, Media and Advertising agencies as well as production companies. The agency offers consulting and production services and consults to Brands, Producers, and Broadcasters on Branded Entertainment and TV sponsorships. Dream Team World will also continue to create and develop original, homegrown television and content concepts for local
and international markets as well as entering into co-production arrangements with other Production companies and Agencies.
