I'm highly experienced in sales + business development, with a demonstrated history of working in the FMCG and Telecoms industry. I have a particular passion for digital marketing, which mostly includes skills and experience in content marketing, social media management, as well as fresh skills and certifications in Google Ads. I also have a great understanding of copywriting, email campaigns, mobile marketing and paid advertising.
Until December 2018, following retrenchment, which allowed me the opportunity of completing my degree fulltime in 2019, I worked as a Sales Associate at a Telecoms start-up called HomeCloud Solutions - an authorised Telkom dealer. Working for a leads generation company where leads management was a high priority, I became very interested in digital marketing/online sales and equipped myself with the necessary skills for best practises to drive sales, increase brand awareness and influence consideration of products and services.
Before HomeCloud, I was working as an Assistant Artist Manager (includes Road Management, Creative Services as well as Bookings) for a very successful entertainment label based in Durban called WTF (Witness The Funk Music), and my responsibilities included: implementing effective content across multiple digital platforms, video marketing and social media marketing; along with a team of art and copy creative's. My administrative, people and negotiation skills were expressed via my role as bookings agent at the office.
Among other, more traditional, campaign opportunities, I was honoured with the position of Brand Ambassador and Activation Team Leader, for Brandhouse Beverages' then new addition to its beer product-line, "Amstel Lite." Reporting to and getting directive from Business Development Representatives, I was responsible for launching the new brand in main market outlets, with a team of two promoters working with me every weekend. We were responsible for driving the brand image in the KZN region, to reach and excite new customers, increase awareness of the new beer, and increase sales for our respective venues
