I consider myself a 'Ninja Executive Assistant' and I take pride in ensuring that every aspect of my role is executed with the most precision. I've spent the past few years supporting C Suite and their management team with diary management, setting up and supporting their EXCO meetings, managing their travel & expense and much more. I treat most aspects of my work with the utmost confidentiality. Most recently I have been acknowledged as a person whose 'attention to detail is out of this world.'
In my current role I also look after the Social Impact (CSR) portfolio & the companywide travel. I am also the Talent Mobility coordinator. Here I advise clients on their mobility needs, manage their contracts and maintain client relationships too.
I love human beings, so in my early 30's, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Criminology. I've also spent time volunteering as a Trauma Counsellor when I took a sabbatical in November 2018. I spend a lot of time giving back to my communities too on the various projects that I initiate.
Some of the highlights from my previous roles are presenting an internal TV programme, writing and publishing bulletins and newsletters, working with a team that arranged large scale events, being recognised by global leaders and being nominated for Employee of the Year, after joining the company 15 months prior.
One of the other key milestones for me, was being awarded with the Volunteer of the year award, for Add Hope. I also received R20000 from the local and global Add Hope programmes, to donate to the charities of my choice. I took one cheque back to my hometown, Kwa Zulu Natal and the other I gifted to an orphanage in Benoni, Johannesburg.
I never take anything for face value and always want to know 'how' and 'why?' I am pedantic when it comes to delivering great work. I am told that I have a great memory (which I can attest to) and I use this skill in my current role to remember clients' preferences and the finer details of their wants and needs. There are a few mottos that I live by, and one of them are by Earl Nightingale - "Never give up on a dream because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway."
