I am a divorced mother of three boys, my elder son is 30yrs, the second one is 22yrs and my last boy is 18yrs. I was employed at Three's Company in 1983 as a nanny, and while the machinist went for lunch I would sit on the machines and learn sewing. 1985 to 1989 I was promoted and worked in a cutting room at Threes Company and after work attended at ABET doing Standard 5. I qiut my job in 1996 and was employed at ABET in1997as Dressmaking Fascillitator, with my dressmaking diploma and standard 8. I continued with my studies and I completed my Matric and studied with UNISA doing Higher Certificate in Adult Basic Education and Training in 2004. 2006 I registered Kwa Kedi's Fashion Design, and 2008 i decided to quit the job at Abet and focus on my business. I am now employed by Kwa Kedi's Fashion Design and our co-business is manufaturing school uniform, i managed to employ four of my previous dressmaking students and i feel proud for developing and reducing the unemployment rate in our region
