×I started my career as a reporter at Caxton six years ago and was
appointed as Online Editor in March 2011.
In a nutshell my current position requires me to manage the online side of our Caxton Joburg North newsroom, to ensure
that content across all seven Joburg North Looklocal sites is fresh and relevant, and promoting content via social media
platforms.
I went to school at Affies in Pretoria and shared the classroom and sports field with friends who today count among
South Africa's best and most popular sportsmen.
An injury in matric on tour in Oz and New Zealand basically ended any hopes I had of playing professional sport.
After school I decided to pursue my other passions: news writing and media.
I started my career as a reporter at Caxton six years ago and after several promotions (including News Editor) I was
appointed as Online Editor in March 2011.
At the end of 2010 Caxton launched its Looklocal websites (www.looklocal.co.za). I embraced online media and was
asked to apply for the Online Editor position. After several rounds of interviews I was successful in landing the position.
I have received extensive and on-going training in Internet journalism, learning how to post articles, videos and photos
to the web, linking it to Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps and the like.

I'm a hard worker, hungry, and eager to learn. I have a special passion for sport and a thorough knowledge of the subject.
