Herman Kordom has extensive experience in a variety of organizations in the Private sector, Civil Society in general and the Public Sector. He has also gained extensive experience in Sports Management and Sports Development and Coaching. He is multi-skilled and has a wide experience in the areas of Project Management, Events Management and Fundraising.
He is currently the Sports Development officer in the Matzikama Municipality, operating without a budget and performing the following duties:
Liaising with Sports bodies - Clubs and Federations
Coordinate and attend Sports meetings
Managing sports fields - ensuring the optimal use and not over utilization of facilities.
Planning, organizing, implementation and managing of School Holiday sport programs.
Monitor and Evaluate the effectiveness of Sports Forums in all 8 wards of the Matzikama Municipality
Assisting the following Sporting Codes to attend major events i.e Golden games, Indigenous games, Disability games, Farm workers Soccer Tournament and the Homeless Street soccer competition.
Liaise with the West Coast District Municipality, the Regional and Provincial Office of DCAS as well as SALGA's policy on Youth Development.
His instinctive love for people and natural respect for diversity of cultures continues to:
Hold him in good stead in the various ways especially as he undertakes his activities with the premise of developing people to "reach the Highest level of Sports"
