I moved to Cape Town at the beginning of 2018 to become an estate agent in Saldanha on the West Coast. I could however not make ends meet in the property market and decided to return to Gauteng and start looking for other better employment.

Unisa Radio
Station Manager
Unisa Radio was a Strategic Project with Prof Danie du Plessis as project leader. I oversaw the construction of Unisa Radio's new broadcast studio and helped to establish the station as one of the major players in the South African online radio landscape. My duties include managing the overall operations of Unisa Radio, creation and implementation of a vision, mission and growth strategy, liaising with all stakeholders and participating in various off-site activities and outside broadcasts. The station was institutionalized in 2016 and now falls under Communication & Marketing.

I did some freelance work for Visual Storm, a television production company, as gaffer and as assistant cameraman at the SA Fashion Week and at the SA National Wakeboarding Championships.

I covered Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert in Hyde Park, London for Jacaranda 94.2fm and also worked for Jacaranda 94.2fm as a News Cast Editor during my holiday to South Africa.

After leaving the SA Times I worked as an office furniture fitter for Complete Business Installations, completing among others contracts for The Guardian newspaper and BskyB.
