Main Duties
Maintenance management duties
Coordinate both repair and preventive maintenance requirements for all manufacturing equipment
Identify and develop standards for equipment repair, set up and operation
Managing and initiating design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods as well as all planning and schedules planned and unplanned as well as various maintenance projects, maximising efficiencies for three separate production units
Diagnosing breakdown problems and initiating continuous improvement initiatives.
Initiating and verifying maintenance systems and processes to agreed standards
Controlling spare parts inventory and schedule work orders.
Overseeing annual maintenance budgets in liaison with client departments.
Monitoring and control all maintenance costs.
Initiating maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines to ensuring plant and equipment availability in line with accepted standards.
Overseeing the maintenance and repairing of plant and earthmoving equipment, pumps and maintenance planning.
Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
Managing Projects from the conceptual phase through to implementation.
Improving efficiencies by identifying and attending to bottlenecks.
Managing Quality control, Stock control of maintenance spares.
Managing legal, safety and related issues are fully adhered to.
Contribute, in liaison with the Manufacturing Engineering Department, to define technical specifications for alterations on existing equipment and facilities
Define and monitor quality, cost and delivery objectives given to external companies when intervening: subcontracting, ordinary and major maintenance actions, energy, security systems...
Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance
Responsible for computer aided maintenance management system
Overseeing factory optimisation and applying management systems when needed.
Managing a team of maintenance technicians
To ensure timorously response to complaints received.
Ensure that the production support plan is adhered to.
Influence the effective utilization of budget
Provides updates on current works orders, scheduling of technicians, and parts on order
Develop and manage the maintenance and operations budget
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (OHS ACT
Project Management duties
Implement and assist with project management principles to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budgets
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Tracks and manages project execution against timeline, revising as appropriate, to meet changing project needs and requirements
Develops detailed schedules for critical project activities
Support executive and team gate reviews as project milestones dictate
Supervise and inspect work performed by outside contractors and verify that the contract terms have been fulfilled
Support development of project business case
Facilitates discussion of all stake holders in a positive and proactive manner.
Managing multiple projects
Working with a cross functional team and business leadership, in project coordination.
Identify resources needed and schedule people, equipment and material resources within the project
Build and maintain solid relationships with all stakeholders
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
Ensuring that projects issues are consistently and concisely documented
Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
