I was employed by Shell Oil International in roles as diverse as Hydrocarbon Dealmaker, Supply Chain Planner, Program Manager, Business Development Manager and Bitumen Engineer. Previously I also worked for a consulting engineering company and a construction company.

Qualifications include a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering as well as previous registrations as Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional (PMI)

I balance strong intuitive thinking with highly skilled analytics to distinguish between superstition, opinion and information when it counts most. I believe in fast decision making balanced by a good-enough understanding of the risks of the decision as well as the unknown/unknowables.

My social upliftment passion lies in Education, where I serve on the Governing Body of the local school as well as the board of the Governing Body Foundation, and I am looking into rolling out a pilot project with the Character Company in our primary school, to provide "dads and mentors" for boys who live with a single mother.
