Ashleigh has over 20 years corporate work experience, across South Africa as well as the United States, with the last 7 years spent in property management (commercial, retail, mixed-use and residential) and 6 years prior spent in hotel management.
She is a passionate "Intrapreneur" working hard to support and encourage small business growth in South Africa, by offering world-class property management and excellent customer service.
Ashleigh was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she attended St Michael's Catholic School and St Agnes Academy Dominican college-preparatory school. She was a member of the Model UN and the Speech and Debate Team for St Agnes Academy.
She went on to study at the University of Texas at Austin, where she was enrolled in the UT College of Liberal Arts majoring in Spanish Language and Culture studies with a minor in Business Foundations. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.
After working in banking and finance for several years in Austin, Texas, in 2006 Ashleigh decided to travel to South Africa to join her mother, who was living in Knysna at the time.
Upon settling in Knysna, she was quickly scooped up by the hospitality industry, where she was able to hone her knowledge of finance, marketing and her people skills, while learning the specifics of HR in South Africa and Sectional Title Body Corporate management. After four years in Knysna, in 2010 she moved to Johannesburg, furthering her career in hotel management as a General Manager of a Five Star country house and wedding venue.
In 2013, Ashleigh and her husband moved to Cape Town where she began work in property management in the serviced office space sector. She worked diligently in serviced office space for five years, enriching her Leadership skills as well as gaining further knowledge in facilities management.
