Show profile Hide profileI have been working as a freelance language practitioner since 2012 specialising in translation,proofreading,copywriting and text editing. In addition to being a freelancer, I also held a position as a tutor and student assistant at the University of Johannesburg where I tutored groups of 30 undergraduate students per session on two modules namely Language Practice and Cross Cultural Communication. I Currently hold a BA Honours in Applied Linguistics specialising in Language in Practice: text editing and plain language editing,Multilingualism in Training and Education, Language Planning,Applications and Criticism, Translation Theory,Criticism and History and Linguistics Research essay with focus on problems faced by Black South African first year students with writing Academic English and how to resolve them. For my BA Language Practitioners degree I had English,Linguistics,Zulu and Communication and Media Studies as majors. I am currently working as a teacher,my specialities are English,History and Geography CAPS ,English IGCSE and AS for Cambridge International
