The Presidency on Monday said President Jacob Zuma has not received a letter from the National Assembly requesting him to suspend Ellen Tshabalala.
This after media sent enquiries to the Presidency in relation to Tshabalala's position as the chairperson of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC).
"According to media reports, the Portfolio Committee on Communications in the National Assembly has recommended that the Chairperson be suspended. The Presidency can only process requests when formal communication is received from the National Assembly," the Presidency said.
Media reports say Tshabalala mentioned on her CV that she obtained qualifications from Unisa, yet the institution said it had no records of those qualifications.
