Joburg's Highveld Stereo has transformed into 947 - "Short, sweet and to the point, just the way Joburgers like things," says 947 programming manager, Ravi Naidoo. The new brand identity reflects 947's new brand positioning: a station that is all about the energy and attitude of Jozi. It's a city that's all or nothing, and it's the people that make this city rock.
The symbol has attitude. And it's a window on the fast-paced, ever-changing city that Joburgers love.
Cape Town's KFM also starts September with a brand new look. Inspired by the late afternoon sun reflecting off Table Mountain behind the city's skyscrapers, the new identity reflects the spirit of Cape Town and its people. KFM is about living the great life, and the new identity will be used in multiple colours and combinations to celebrate the city's incredible diversity.
"We're very proud of the work we've done in repositioning and relaunching these two radio brands. The design is bold, contemporary and fresh - with each identity celebrating the unique flavour and spirit of the cities they broadcast to. We look forward to listening to and loving both, for many years to come!"
