Jacaranda 94.2's Winter Warmer Campaign
The campaign, which aims to collect 100 000 blankets annually for those in desperate need, has grown exponentially since its inception in 2005 - now also comprising a Winter Warmer Corporate Challenge, the Winter Warmer Schools Challenge and More Music May concerts.
More than 100 schools have already registered to take part in the Schools Challenge - whichever one of them collects the most blankets stands the chance to win a concert by Bobby van Jaarsveld, or Prime Circle... LIVE at their school.
Jacaranda 94.2's More Music May concerts, where the donation of a new blanket serves as your ticket to entry, will be taking place on the 7th of May at Montecasino and on the 21st of May at East Rand Mall.
The Winter Warmer Corporate Challenge is a highly exciting initiative for companies to get involved with Winter Warmer as the campaign draws to a close. Celebrities will be dedicating their time to the cause on 27 May - answering phones between 7 AM until 7 PM in a mammoth pledging telethon at Montecasino.
The total monies and blankets pledged will be announced on the Martin Bester Drive just before 7PM.
Those who wish to donate a blanket as part of the broader campaign can do so by dropping them in a collection box at the Jacaranda 94.2 studio in Centurion, or at the Montecasino studio in Fourways - making winter warmer for those in desperate need, one blanket at a time.
