Request for animal rights sponsorship

It is the only awareness campaign of its kind in the country (and probably the continent), and is a week dedicated to making South African students aware (through various lectures and activities) of animal rights, especially with regards to five key areas of exploitation- clothing, vivisection, domestic animal abuse, inhumane food practices and entertainment.

This is only the second time that such an event has been held at Rhodes, or even in Africa. Last year's awareness week was a raging success and earned the Rhodes Organisation for Animal Rights (ROAR) the accreditation as "the most active student group on the continent" from PETA2.com.

Basically, we would love very much for some bands to perform at our closing party at the end of the week. We think that they would be hugely appropriate for the event and help us create great awareness. I feel that this really is a very important cause and that if you could please help in any way that would be greatly appreciated.
