Junior Financial Accountant

Remuneration:	R10000 - R15000 per month

As the junior financial accountant, you will play a critical role in the financial management and reporting process of the company. The position involves performing account reconciliations and expense reporting. The junior financial accountant will collaborate with management to provide financial insights.

Duties:

Key job responsibilities:

• Debtors - Adstream billing:
  
  • Download the Adstream report and load it onto the billing template for amendments.
  • Import the billing template into Xero.
• Print billing:
  
  • Request monthly Adsend billing from Adstream and liaise with the print team to ensure accurate import of data into Xero.
  • Statements - send out query statements as well as the monthly statement by the fifth of each month.
• Receivables:
  
  • Follow up on outstanding payments from customers.
  • Follow up on purchase orders and maintain purchase orders for billing purposes.
  • Maintain client portals (i.e. Coupa, Swim, FNB Oracle) and ensure invoices are uploaded monthly.
  • Generate Adstream reports for monthly retainer invoice submissions and approval.
  • Assist and resolve all client queries.
• Expense reporting:
  
  • Liaising with the human capital department and finance department daily.
  • Check salary advances, statements, and invoices to load for payments on FNB Enterprise.
• Creditors reconciliation:
  
  • Ensure that all monthly creditors are paid on time.
  • Office maintenance and management, including ordering office supplies and liaising with the building manager.
  • Administrative duties and additional ad hoc duties as required by the senior management team.
  • Planning statistical reports.
  • Filing and maintaining Microsoft documents.
  • Assist and resolve all client queries.

Educational/skills/other requirements:

• Grade 12 equivalent or higher-level qualification.
• Tech-savvy.
• Xero or QuickBooks proficiency (at least two years' experience).
• Good telephone etiquette.
• Good numerical and typing skills.
• Computer literacy - MS Office.
• Knowledge of Google Suite.
• Previous work experience in an office environment.
• Driver’s licence and own transport.
• BCom accounting degree.
• Office administrative experience.
• Payroll experience.
• Ability to assist with all aspects of Media Host - PEAR, as needed.
