German award for Simonsig bubbly
Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel, South Africa's first Méthode Cap Classique, has been voted third Best International Sparkling Wine in the world in the 2006 readers' choice list of Weinwirtschaft, one of Germany's leading wine trade magazines. Simonsig Estate is also the only South African producer to be ranked amongst the Top 25 Sparkling Wines, Champagnes & Proseccos in the overall listing. These results are part of the publication's Top 100 Wines competition, based on a survey conducted among German retailers reviewing the image, marketing and quality of selected wines tasted during the past year.
