SAPS praises 702 GPS initiative

The South African Police Service has praised Talk Radio 702 for its initiative, driven by John Robbie on his Tuesday morning show, which has resulted in 734 GPS systems being pledged for donation to the SAPS. “Our sincere thanks to all the businesses and organizations which rose to the challenge and responded to 702's call to play a positive role in reducing crime levels in this country. We will ensure that this equipment, so generously donated, will be put to the best possible use in order to secure and protect our clients, the law-abiding citizens,” said director Sally de Beer, Office of the National Commissioner, yesterday, Wednesday 27 February 2008.
