'Sex Actually' festival unpacks provocative South African cinema
From Friday 24 August until Sunday 26 August 2012, the Bioscope Independent Cinema, in partnership with the Drama for Life, will screen the 'Sex Actually' festival, a selection of films that explore the role of sex in cinema. Through a series of films ranging from the 1970s to the present, the programme explores the themes of gender, sexuality, desire and sexual identity in South African cinema. Based in downtown Johannesburg, the cinema offers films out of the mainstream. For this programme and other offerings, go to www.thebioscope.co.za.
