Appletiser is the headline sponsor for the premiere of Sex and the City in South Africa and will be hosting the premieres on 27 May 2008 in Johannesburg at Montecasino, and 28 May in Durban at Pavillion and at Canal Walk in Cape Town. SA brand manager Gwen Ridsdale says that Appletiser and Sex and the City shares a great synergy and it made perfect sense for the brand to affiliate itself with the movie: “The campaign taps into the sexy, fun and feminine qualities of both brands.” As part of the Sex and the City activation, Appletiser has created a Sexy Fruits and the City logo that is in line with the brand's strategy going forward, which focuses on the promotion of all four Appletiser variants collectively.
