Associate your brand with the first brother and sister team to take part in the Round The World Yacht race.
Avanti and Devandra Thaker have been selected to participate in the Clipper Ventures 05/06 11 month Round The World Yacht Race, beginning in September 2005 and ending in July 2006. They will be making history as circumnavigators in the race as:
1) The first Africans from the continent of Africa as confirmed by Clipper Ventures (C.V.)
2) The first South Africans as confirmed by C.V.,
3) The first brother and sister team in the history of the race as confirmed by C.V.,
4) The first people of Colour from South Africa thus far as confirmed by C.V, to do the whole race.
As they will be achieving many firsts, they are appealing for assistance from a marketing company to help market them raise funds in their quest to do this race. They also appeal to patriotic corporate companies to financially sponsor and help us out with electronic equipment, and to honour their roots by representing South Africa in this global race. More importantly, they implore companies to give them a chance to return the knowledge and skills from this race to the disadvantaged community on their return.
