Youth event for prisoners

A Youth Commemoration Day event was held at the Pretoria Correctional Services sports centre on 30 June to honour Youth Day, as part of a rehabilitation programme, aimed at young prisoners. It was hosted by Zinto Marketing Group, together with the Presidential Awards Programme, under the Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture Department. Zinto donated 20 T-shirts to the inmates to be worn on the day, which had performances from singers and dancers to encourage unity among the youth. It forms part of the company's CSI programme, which is actively involved in the upliftment of young imprisoned youth by integrating them for a day with ordinary young citizens who make a living through the performing arts and addressing the issue of social reintegration.
