The recently launched www.surf4schools.co.za, the brainchild of Cape Townian Delicia Merrington, is an education-based website offering schools, parents and pupils an online method of buying and selling new and old textbooks, sports equipment, musical instruments and other equipment. It also includes a recruitment facility for employers and job seekers in the educational sector (under-resourced and community-based schools lacking the necessary funding may register at no cost). A direct marketing campaign is currently being rolled out to over 2000 schools nationwide.
