Addfuel Communications, which was formed in June 2002 in a major empowerment deal between Vasoline South Africa and Makana Investments, applied for voluntary liquidation on 7 January 2003. The large Vodacom Retail Advertising account worth R45 million and some infrastructure has been taken over by Afrikings Holdings, comprising of 4 specialised companies and 120 people.
