ASA orders Amy Biehl ads to be withdrawn

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has ordered the withdrawal of two "chilling" television ads for The Amy Biehl Foundation which complainants say promote hijacking and justify criminal behaviour. The ASA said that calls to address society's ills had to be conveyed in a way that gave hope and optimism, instead of confronting, shocking or trying to explain away why some people committed heinous crimes.
