New winemaker at Clos Malverne

Clos Malverne celebrates 25 years of winemaking with the appointment of a new winemaker, Suzanne Coetzee, who is taking over from her husband Charl Coetzee. She has a BSc Agric, specialising in Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Stellenbosch and, before settling at Clos Malverne, honed her winemaking skills at various wine estates in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek where she mastered blending and gained valuable knowledge in terroir variation and the crafting of diverse wine styles. With her business diploma and experience in marketing, she has extensively travelled the international and local markets gaining insights about the opportunities for South African wines in the greater global area.
