MTN, the top African network, ready for smartphones
Africa's number one telecommunications operator MTN, who started operations in the early 90s, is unveiling the iconic Apple iPhone 4 Smartphone.
With operations in 21 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, the MTN network is ready for the intensive data requirements of smartphones. Having spent in excess of R15-billion over the past two years on network upgrades to prepare for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa and beyond, MTN has shown its commitment to growing its network.
The Apple iPhone 4 will initially be available only from selected MTN-branded stores around South Africa, but will be rolled out to more than 250 outlets nationwide by mid-October.
