Saving the planet, one sip at a time
Draftfcb Johannesburg has taken another step - along its 'Save the Environment' path by doing away with the polystyrene cups used by agency staffers for their coffee and tea breaks.
The committee responsible for developing a 'greener' Draftfcb Johannesburg launched the porcelain mugs in an unorthodox manner. After everyone had left the building on a Friday evening, they removed all the polystyrene cups and waited for the cries of shock and horror on Monday morning as employees needing their caffeine fix couldn't find a vessel in which to carry it. A few minutes later, everyone was paged to the Lifestyle Area where their new mugs as well as freshly made coffee and scones awaited them. The green initiative was welcomed by staff, who insist that they're saving the planet, one sip at a time!
