In response to the ungrateful people who do not recognise the courage it took for these 3 young black women to implement this unbelievably fantastic concept. Some of you who are hiding behind big corporates because you have no spines to follow your dreams. This is hedghog behavior, pick a page from thier book and evolve into a fox.
The one thing that frustrates me so much about Black people is our inability to stick together and help each other to fly! I was at the festival and was moved by the Black innovation Panel. One of the panelsits talked about the butterfly effect and Black people growing together. And one of the visitors walked away with some good seed capital to start her business and an offer for mentorship by one of the panelists. It doesnt take anything away from you if you support another Black person or affirm their effort. Critisms are great but it has to be done constructively and must come from the right place.what good is your commentary if it is full of such bile! And to spew this rubbish on Biz com so that all the white marketters that we are fighting against can see the black people clawing at each other!! They are laughing at us and we have given them the permision to do so! And you wonder why they dont respect us.. We are behaving like canibals... we eat each other instead of nourishing eachother.. It is this anti-Black - or anti anything Black that the is genesis of the onslaught against other African immigrants. The freedoms that our parents laid thier lives for are at stake!
Some of these comments may be from White folk masquarading as Black people. It is understandable that white folk are threatened by the Black businesses. But if you are Black, you should be ashamed of yourselves. While I agree that there is room for improvement, this event was a far cry from the disaster you are portraying it to be. It is a great concept that was well organised, supported by good brands and needless to say, a very well attended event. So do the right thing and let us help these sisters create an even better experience. When one Black person succeeds, we all Black people win...because we are all trying to challenge the stereotypes that Black is not good enough! Dont use public forums to attack each other
