Covering the Loeries in red and white - 29 Jul 2008By Simone PutermanIt was the 30th anniversary of the Loeries this year and, once again, for the fourth time, the creative industry were lured to Margate on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast for a weekend of celebration and networking. Bizcommunity.com was there - and we certainly had the Loeries covered! Our brand activation consisted of red streamers on the first night of ceremonies and white confetti on the second night, and, boy oh boy, were we ever so chuffed to see people enthusiastically showering confetti over Gold Loerie winners and streamers strewn over shiny statuettes. I just love our little round stickers instructing people to gooi and our snazzy black t-shirts with glittery red decals. Untold thanks go to my team onsite for their brilliant coordination and coverage of the Loeries: Jo Hardiman, Sindy Peters and Ruth Cooper from our Cape Town office, Tshepiso Seopa from the Johannesburg office, and our awesome freelance photographer Hush Naidoo and his assistant Shirley Michaux. And to the offsite team back in Cape Town: you guys rock, as always, and we wish you had been with us to enjoy the balmy coastal weather.
