Bizcommunity.com launches Biz Trends 2015It's that time of the year again and Bizcommunity is launching Biz Trends 2015 - a comprehensive, curated, thought-leadership perspective on trends and consumer insights for 2015 for the media, marketing and advertising communications industries in South Africa and the continent. Woolworths is in the news again, and again it's not good news. This follows a claim by a customer who says he found a dead frog in an Italian salad he bought from Woolies. The retailer is reputed to have stringent quality control measures, but it seems somehow, this frog made it through the control... and croaked. As much as one can understand and appreciate the dismay anyone would feel finding a frog in their salad there has been quite a bit of support for the retailer. Leigh Andrews attended AfricaCom 2014 and found that many household products we take for granted and use every day are about to become a whole lot smarter...In addition, we also have Danette Breitenbach reporting on Eddie Mbalo, Interim CEO, who believes South Africa's content providing industry is in a crisis and this is why TopTV ended up the way it did. He reckons we are in an environment where the dominant player shuts you down... He says "It is no use putting in money unless the regulatory environment changes."
