71 Intaka Tech water purification plants headed for Angola

Intaka Tech has been awarded a contract for water purification plants to produce 78 million litres of drinking water per day, the final destination for the units being Angola. This will help the company to achieve its mission to proactively meet Africa's urgent need for clean, potable water.

Intaka Tech, a division of the Intaka Group, manufactures and markets water and gas technology, in the form of the mobile Intaka Tech water purification plants, as well as its on-site gas plants.

The water purification plants are to be used by the Angolan Government as part of a water project called ‘Agua Para Todos.' Intaka Tech will work in conjunction with the Angolan Government to support and facilitate the project's initiatives to provide purified, drinkable water of a quality that is in line with international standards.

Each of the water purification plants will supply 1,1 million litres of drinkable water per day. This means that an impressive total of 78 million litres of raw water will be converted into drinkable water each day, catering for the water needs of 2,6 million people on a daily basis.

Intaka Tech's equipment contributes the well-being of its target market and helps to make even remote communities more self-sufficient and independent. The plants' features include portability, easy installation, straight-forward operation, low operating costs and uncomplicated maintenance.

“We are proud to have been chosen to supply the water purification plants for final destination Angola,” says Dr Gastón Savoi, chairman of the Intaka Group. “This contract will help us to enhance the lives of people living in Africa, particularly those in outlying or poor communities.”

Intaka Tech is a ‘Proudly South African' organisation, and all its products are locally manufactured, thus contributing to job opportunities and boosting the SA economy. The company holds the Intellectual Property, including patents and trademarks, for its equipment throughout Africa.
