Movicel and Facebook launch free internet service
According to the director-general of the Movicel, José Henriques, this is an initiative spearheaded by the Facebook, gathering the local communities and leading companies in the field of technologies, with a view to helping the citizens.
The programme, to be found on the www.internet.org website, has fifteen items, with highlight on the one created by the Ministry of Family Issues and Promotion of Women, in partnership with the Unicef, which is to make available fifty suggestions of family support.
The programme is to have items on children's protection and development, from birth up to the age of five.
The information on how to gain access to this service is available in the media and in the Movicel shops throughout the country.
The launching ceremony was attended by the minister of Family Issues and Promotion Women, Filomena Delgado, the director of operations and global partnership of the Facebook, Maekku Makelainen, the representative of Unicef in Angola, Amélia Russo de Sá, as well as the officials representing the Internet services Sapo, Platina Online, Fineza Capelo and Sarchel Necesio.
