Angola: 9th edition of National Journalism Award launched
Addressing the ceremony to launch journalism prize, the Secretary of State of Media, Manuel da Conceição, said the delivery period of the works to the contest goes from May 6 to August 31.
As for Luanda province, the official stressed, the works should be delivered at Journalist Training Centre (Cefojor), housing the Prize Office, while the other provinces at the local provincial Media department.
Manuel da Conceição also announced that the prize comprises four categories: press, radio, television and photojournalism, and each winner will receive 3.5 million Kwanzas.
National journalism prize jury for this year comprises journalists Júlio Mendonça da Silva (National Radio Station), Nelson Rosa (Public Television), Mário Pedro Segunda (Angola News Agency), Norberto Carlos (University lecturer) and Carlos Calongo Adão, journalist.
