    Eurobest 2010 winners announced

    HAMBURG: The winners in the Eurobest 2010 Awards were announced on Wednesday night, 8 December 2010 at the Curio-Haus in Hamburg, Germany. The Interactive Agency of the Year went to DDB Stockholm while Ogilvy France was presented with Agency of the Year. Network of the Year was awarded to DDB.

    During the awards, the Eurobest 2010 Festival honoured IKEA for its continued encouragement of creative and unconventional advertising to raise awareness of their brand. Claudia Willvonseder, IKEA's global marketing manager, accepted the award for Advertiser of the Year.

    Also announced at the awards Ceremony were the winners of the Young Creatives competition, who were given 48 hours to devise an integrated campaign fitting the brief given by The City of Hamburg to promote Hamburg as a vibrant and creative city for 18-30 year olds from across Europe as a destination to live and work in. Taking Gold was the team from the UK; Alfred Malmros and Alexander Hernesten. Silver went to Hungary and Bronze went to Estonia.

    The jury also gave a special commendation to the team from Norway.

    Following the awards ceremony was the afterparty, sponsored by SapientNitro, where delegates were able to celebrate and network at the end of the festival.
