Malawi: The mobile phone service provider TNM Limited and Real Insurance Company Limited are preparing to be listed on the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE) during the last half of 2008.

MSE operations manager, John Kamanga said, as required, the two companies would be publishing their current financial results which will include results posted in the last three years so that the public can examine them before subscribing to the shares.

Currently there are 13 companies on the Malawi bourse, which are Blantyre Hotels, Old Mutual, Illovo, National Bank of Malawi, Malawi Property Investment Company, NBS Bank, National Insurance Company, National Investment Trust Limited, Press Corporation limited, Packaging Industries Limited, Standard Bank Sunbird Hotels and First Merchant Bank.

“These two companies are the only listings we have this year; by September, Real Insurance will be in and TNM by November,” said Kamanga.

Fixed telephone line operator, the Malawi Telecommunication Limited owns 40% of TNM while MTL Mobile owns 60%.
