    Multichoice elevates education in Malawi

Multichoice Malawi is set to establish 500 education resource centres in government secondary schools over the next five years. The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Malawi government through the ministry of education to implement the project.

“Under the project, Multichoice equips participating schools with a 74cm television set and mounting bracket, digital satellite decoder and dish installation as well as video cassette recorder and 20 blank video cases for pre-recording programmes,” explained Multichoice Malawi marketing manager, Titania Katenga Kaunda.

Multichoice is also providing free access to the DSTV education bouquet as a medium to support teaching and learning in schools comprising seven channels.

“The training and support will be delivered through engagement of an external consultant to train and support teachers,” said Kaunda.
