    Murray caused Jackson's death

Dr Conrad Murray has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter that caused Michael Jackson's death by administering a powerful anaesthetic, propofol to the singer who was suffering from insomnia. The jury's verdict was unanimous.

Murray was handcuffed in court amid cheers from the crowd outside the court who celebrated the jury's finding as it was broadcast live on major news channels including CNN, the BBC and Sky News for South Africa viewers and the rest of the world. Murray's bail was revoked and he was remanded in custody amid fears that he might try to skip the country if he was let out on bail.

In a report, published today by City Press, legal experts are quoted as saying that the widely respected cardiologist could be out of jail within just a few months because of chronic over-crowding in state prisons. He will be sentenced on 29 November.
The Daily News reports that the Jackson family and fans have hailed the verdict.
