Bookings down? Or is London already full?
IOL says that tourism operators in Britain - who have been expecting a flood of bookings ahead of the 2012 Olympics - say there has been a 90% drop in bookings as a result of the global economic recession.
The games are due to take place in London from 27 July to 12 August.
According to the IOL report, the European Tour Operators' Association estimates that R44,6 billion could be lost to the British economy because of the sharp decline in the volume of bookings.
