Yuri Arcurs opens studio in Cape Town, launches first bootcamp
Yuri Arcurs, described as one of the world's highest paid and top selling stock photographers and part of a small group of handpicked photographers officially sponsored by Hasselblad, has recently opened a studio in Cape Town. He has apparently also been granted one of the highest sponsorship agreements ever made by Profoto, Sweden.
Starting 3 January 2012, 130 potential photographers will be traveling from all over the world to meet in Cape Town to kick off the Yuri Arcurs International Commercial Photography Academy Bootcamp.
Extensive photography training
During this bootcamp, the chosen students from countries such as Dubai, the Philippines, Thailand, China, Australia, Belarus, Netherlands, Ireland, Hungary, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Norway, Ukraine, Romania, Spain, the US, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Tanzania and South Africa will undergo two weeks of extensive photography training.
At the end, based on motivation, passion and love for photography, 15 will be chosen to go onto a three-year educational program sponsored by Arcurs.
