Traffic course for ad professionals

The AAA School of Advertising Johannesburg will be running an Operations Course, designed to help traffic people become more efficient in the workplace, on 9-10 September 2010. Alise Antrobus, who has worked in the industry, as a traffic manager for 13 years, will lead the Operations Course.

Having worked for various leading ad agencies, Antrobus discovered the need to empower agencies by showing them how to work smarter - not harder - when it comes to understanding systems.

Designed to assist key people who work with systems within an ad agency, the course will emphasize the importance of understanding systems and communication. It will cover various technical aspects and requirements of working within an agency, outlining the numerous professional roles and departmental structures. Antrobus will illustrate how internal systems can assist in becoming more efficient and productive, by using tools such as briefing templates, naming conventions and status reports. The course has been structured for both current and future advertising professionals.

"An advertising agency is a fast-paced and constantly changing environment," explains Ludi Koekemoer, principal and MD of the AAA School. "Without the proper in-house systems, such as briefing templates, department structures and communication, your team and business could easily succumb to bad consequences."
