The ultimate in human resources development arrives at Africa's doorstep

The final countdown:
The ultimate in human resources development arrives at Africa's doorstep

with less than a month to go, and over 90 exhibitors registered thus far - The Star HRD Expo is gearing up to open its doors to the industry and public at large. From 4 to 6 October, 2011, The Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, will present a plethora of human resources, education and training offerings. This year, there also exists an increased interest from BEE solutions providers, recruitment, corporate wellness companies and overall business solutions experts.

Those in the know:

The three-day expo is well-positioned to offer the industry the latest insights, solutions, technologies and services, as well as a host of new value-ads. The visitor pre-registration, a mechanism which ensures a free expo pass through the HRDE website, has worked extremely well in attracting numerous individuals to reserve their place at the expo. The Star HRD Expo promises many exciting on-site draws and one lucky visitor stands the chance to win an iPad 2. Expo organiser, IIR BV SA, is also running an initiative whereby every seventh visitor to walk through the door, will receive a R200 wellness or a lifestyle voucher, as sponsored by Celestial Gifts.

Speak your mind:

This year, expo visitors will be extended the opportunity to visit the Speakers' Corner and participate in various discussions and knowledge sharing. Topics and experts who will be presenting include: Diversity in the workplace by Jeffrey Ramolumisi, Managing Director, Ramolumisi Trading & Projects; How in-house child care facilities contribute to the bottom line by Jena Mukina, Director, Daycare; Colour based learning by Mark Samowitz, CEO, Learn Alive Training Solutions; Successfully integrating people with disabilities into the workplace by Sharon Bard, Partner and Head Facilitator, Progression Option and many more.

Africa on a plate:

Scores of HR-focused professionals have also been booking for the annual HR Africa conference, which runs alongside The Star HRD Expo. This year, HR Africa will be hosted on the show floor, in order that visitors, exhibitors and delegates be afforded the opportunity to network. Delegates interested in this high-level HR conference are invited to visit the conference website, www.hr-africa.com, for more information. The line-up of speakers includes the likes of special guests such as Clem Sunter and an international HR professional, Michael Potter, amongst many other exciting experts.
