Caxton consolidates with NAB

The national advertising representation of approximately 50 Caxton-owned and part-owned community newspapers will move from Capro to the Newspaper Advertising Bureau (NAB) at the end of August 2005. Caxton is making the move in an effort to consolidate its operations.

Gill Randall, Joint Managing Director for NAB, says: "While Capro has performed a sterling job for us over the last five years, Caxton has reached a stage where it has become necessary to consolidate its many operations to maximise company efficiencies."

For the past 25 years, NAB, a wholly owned division of Caxton Publishers and Printers, has effectively represented a geographically focused print media. Its functions include sales and marketing, research, advertising placement, bookings, material co-ordination and accounting.

"We look forward to offering our advertisers a wider range of products covering a larger footprint than ever before and NAB is ideally placed to maximise on our newly acquired community newspapers."

Attained community newspapers are primarily from the Limpopo, North West, KwaZulu/ Natal, Northern Cape and Mpumalanga regions.
