Caxton launches into Polokwane

Caxton is also leaping on the express bandwagon with the launch of its new weekly community newspaper Polokwane Express. Represented by the Newspaper Advertising Bureau (NAB), it will deliver unique and locally relevant advertising to all the suburban areas of Polokwane, according to John Bowles, joint MD of NAB. It will also feature news geared to grab the attention of local residents every Thursday.
Caxton launches into Polokwane

Launched by the Northern Media Group, 55 000 copies will be distributed weekly to all brick and mortar households in the Polokwane district. “The need for community, consumer and shopping information in Polokwane, Sebayeng and Mankweng has been recognised and can now be provided. The readers want a devoted suburban newspaper that reflects Polokwane news and advertisers want to saturate one of South Africa's highest economic growth hotspots,” adds Bowles.

The community media sector is booming, with more than 121 new publications launched since 2005. The Northern Review and Capricorn Voice, two other Limpopo community papers, are also represented by NAB.

“Advertisers can reach this market very effectively with our latest addition in a very receptive environment. Northern Review and Capricorn Voice will always serve the area and its surrounds but the Polokwane Express is designed specifically for Polokwane residents only. Its content will reflect the needs and wants of the city's suburbs. It will be relevant to the Polokwane residents and readers, and have content that's important and usable in their daily lives,” he concludes.
