Parmalat milk is 100% local

Parmalat SA is proud to state that the company has never imported milk or any dairy products since the company first entered the South African market in 1998. This statement follows recent speculations in the media and amongst the trade and consumers, that some South African milk processors import either milk or dairy products.

"We fully support local producers and suppliers," says Fred Anderson commercial director at Parmalat. "South Africa also produces enough milk to provide in the needs of the local market.

"We are proud to be in a position to reassure consumers and the trade that Parmalat's dairy products do not contain any imported milk or other dairy by-products. We have full confidence in locally produced milk and milk products and stand in support of the South African farming community."

Parmalat SA affirmed its prime position as a quality driven brand in the dairy industry by reaping the most awards of all entrants in the prestigious annual National Dairy Awards held in April.
