New corporate identity flies on TV

Continuing its vision to expand into Africa and beyond, South African Airlink has changed its name to Airlink and unveiled a new corporate identity through a nationwide campaign, by Volcano Advertising, which is spearheaded by a TV commercial exemplifying the the 'freedom of flight' through the dramatic and symbolic expressions of the individual characters.

Karin Murray, marketing and sales manager of Airlink, says that she is delighted with the outcome of the airline's first TV commercial, as the response from both the public and the trade has been most complimentary.

"I feel that Volcano Advertising, in tandem with the film production company, has greatly succeeded in creating and producing a TV commercial that, in a highly impactful and memorable way, epitomises Airlink's strategy of offering its passengers the Freedom of the African Sky.'"

Print adverts, radio commercials and promotional activities are also being used to communicate Airlink's new name and identity.

The relationship with SAA will continue until the end of the year.
