Beeld makes top five in Markinor survey

Afrikaans daily newspaper Beeld took fifth place in the Business-to-Business, Business Media (electronic, broadcast and print) category of the Sunday Times and Markinor Top Brands Survey. Beeld was the only Media 24 publication to crack the top five in the category.

According to 'The Encyclopaedia of Brands & Branding 2005', Beeld's selection was calculated by combining the measure of top of mind brand awareness, level of brand trust and confidence, as well as consumer's level of loyalty and commitment to Beeld.

A total of 400 interviews were conducted amongst Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Managing Directors and Directors from companies with a staff compliment of 100 or more.

Lucille van Niekerk, General Manager, says: "We are celebrating our nomination and were thrilled to discover that our Brand Relationship Score has increased from 2004. Another winning factor in our favour is that Beeld was not selected merely for our business section or a particular supplement, but as a print media brand in its entirety."
