The new supper menu reflects the worldwide trend toward lighter food being served quickly and conveniently in a warm and friendly environment at affordable prices.

Served from 12pm every day, the new menu includes Green Curry Noodle bowls, Miso and Stirfry Noodle dishes, warm Chicken Caesar Salads, warm Steak Fajita Salads and Kauai Burritos. New fruit drinks include Litchi/Rooibos or Lemon Breeze Iced Teas. Dinners range from R42.00 to R49.90.

“We have taken note of comments and suggestions from our customers and are expanding our menus to include more dinner-friendly meals this year,” said CEO Herman Redelinghuys.

“There is a growing trend toward healthier eating and people are drawn to Asian food because it's extremely tasty but light. Consumers are also looking for convenient, fast dinners that are stylishly presented, filled with nutrition, free of unhealthy additives and economical. These are things that Kauai can do extremely well.”

The ambience of the Kauai store has also been adapted to appeal to customers at night. Candlelight, palm trees and soft lighting enhance the casual dining experience at Kauai Green Point.

The dinner testing phase will run until early February 2009. Feedback forms are available for customers after their meal. Confident of positive feedback, Redelinghuys says a national roll-out is on the cards.

Green Point Kauai is open from 7.30am to 10pm weekdays and 8.30am to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
